Judges spar over early releases

Fresno judges seek to block sheriff's early release of county prisoners

Fresno County Superior Court judges head to federal court today in a bid to intervene in a 17-year-old consent decree. The Fresno court is seeking to block the sheriff's early release of inmates from the county jail.
