VeriFone buys Point International

Sullivan & Cromwell LLP led an international deal team for San Jose-based VeriFone Systems Inc. on its $818 million acquisition of Sweden-based Point International from Nordic Capital.

PALO ALTO - Sullivan & Cromwell LLP led an international deal team for San Jose-based VeriFone Systems Inc. on its $818 million acquisition of Sweden-based Point International from Nordic Capital.

Led by Palo Alto partner Sarah P. Payne and New York partner Scott Miller, VeriFone Systems also agreed to retire $232 million of Point's debt. The company is Europe's largest payment processer with operations in 11 Northern Europ...
