In December 2002, I filed my first meal break class action against the Cheesecake Factory. Since that time, I have always been involved in some form of meal break class action litigation. So of course the oral argument for Brinker Restaurant Corp. v. Superior Court (S166350) had particular interest to me. When I filed that first Cheesecake Factory case, I had only been practicing law just shy of six years. Meal break litigation is where I really cut my teeth as a lawyer.
