Deal volume in 2016 up despite slow year

Cash flow in dealmaking slowed slightly nationwide and in California last year compared to the record activity in 2015, but deal volume increased slightly.

Cash flow in dealmaking slowed slightly nationwide and in California last year compared to the record activity in 2015, but deal volume increased slightly.

Across the country, there were 46,496 deals worth approximately $3.674 trillion in 2016, compared to 45,762 deals worth roughly $4.369 trillion in 2015. That amounts to a 15.9 percent drop in value and a 1.6 percent increase in deal volume....
