OC DA achieves civil penalties from Sears in illegal supplements case

The $250,000 settlement stems from a years-long collaboration between the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and the Orange County district attorney as part of 10-county California Food, Drug and Medical Device Task Force.

Sears Holdings Management Corp. has agreed to pay $235,000 in civil penalties for the online sale of illegal nutritional supplements, the Orange County district attorney's office announced Friday.
