The Civil Justice Association of California, a conservative legal organization that fights for changes in tort law and to defend arbitration, has a new president.

SACRAMENTO — The Civil Justice Association of California, a conservative legal organization that fights for changes in tort law and defends arbitration, has a new president.
John Doherty, 47, took over on Thursday. He replaced Kim Stone, who stepped down after nearly six years to become a lobbyist.
