Jury rules against Cisco in patent case

Rival Arista Networks Inc. persuaded a San Jose federal jury in claims of copyright infringement.

SAN JOSE — In a closely watched copyright and patent infringemement trial, Arista Networks Inc. and its attorneys with Keker & Van Nest LLP won a total defense victory against Cisco Systems on Wednesday.

Cisco was seeking close to $335 million in damages over what the San Jose networking company claimed was copyright infringement of its user interface platforms.
