A number of American industry titans collapsed in financial ruin last year, producing a record 12 months in corporate bankruptcy filings.
And, according to insolvency experts, the impact of those massive cases will reverberate into 2003.
The dollar value of U.S. bankruptcy filings in 2002 crushed the previous year's record, according to Boston-based data tracker BankruptcyData.com.
