Transgendered Woman, Hospital Settle Breast-Enlargement Policy Dispute

SAN FRANCISCO - A Catholic hospital that denied a transgender woman breast augmentation surgery now says it allows the cosmetic procedure for anyone. Charlene Hastings sued Daly City's Seton Medical Center in December 2007, claiming the hospital refused to allow a doctor to perform her surgery after learning that Hastings had been born a man.
