Only One Orange County Judge Faces Challenge

SANTA ANA — Southern California’s first Vietnamese-born judge will be the only sitting Orange County judge facing an election challenge in the June 3 primary. Judge Nho Trong Nguyen is being opposed by sole practitioner Timothy Sy Nguyen of Garden Grove. A third candidate dropped out of that race. Three other Orange County Superior Court judges had announced they would retire and not seek re-election, throwing their seats up for grabs.
