Families Get $2 Million in Earthquake Trial

In what appears to be the first verdict of its kind in the state, a San Luis Obispo County jury has awarded $2 million in damages to the families of two women crushed to death when an 111-year-old unreinforced masonry building crashed down in the 2003 San Simeon earthquake.
