Weil, Gotshal attorney gets holding company's patents declared invalid by Federal Circuit

A Redwood Shores-based partner emerged victorious Tuesday after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit absolved his client, Newegg.com Inc., of patent infringement claims by deciding key assertions were invalid.


The case may change the way patent suits are adjudicated while undermining a legal gambit used by many holding companies.
