Judge picks Howrey WARN Act counsel

Disgruntled former Howrey LLP employees who sued the defunct law firm over how they were laid off will be represented by Los Angeles-based Blum Collins LLP, which has done similar work from the Heller Ehrman LLP and Thelen LLP bankruptcies.

SAN FRANCISCO - Disgruntled former Howrey LLP employees who sued the defunct law firm over how they were laid off now have official class counsel.


Through an order published Friday, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Dennis Montali selected Los Angeles-based Blum Collins LLP over New York-based Outten & Golden LLP to represent laid off Howrey non-partner attorneys and administrative staff.
