Family-Law Innovations Earn Judge Appreciation
SANTA CRUZ - Though some judges dread family law, Samuel S. Stevens is not among them. The judge was so content during his three-year family calendar assignment at Santa Cruz County Superior Court that he volunteered to do a fourth year, which he finished in 2002. He now presides over a mix of civil and criminal matters.
