Towed Cars' Owners Lose Hearing-Delay Fight
WASHINGTON - Handing a victory to California municipalities, the Supreme Court ruled Monday that local governments do not have to grant hearings within 48 hours to motorists whose vehicles are towed for parking violations but are recovered quickly when their owners pay the towing and impoundment fees.
