In Big Reversal, $10,000 a Day Neutral Becomes Judge

The next chapter in Louis M. Meisinger's life doesn't involve lying on a beach in Mexico, sipping margaritas. Instead, the 65-year-old entertainment lawyer, former Disney general counsel and one of the state's top mediators is becoming a state-court judge. In doing so, he's going against the tide that usually sees judges leaving the bench to go into private mediation.
