Beverly Hills Bar Association celebrates anniversary

The Beverly Hills Bar Association feted its 80th anniversary Wednesday with a party at the Beverly Canon Gardens. Los Angeles Superior Court Presiding Judge Lee Edmon and Beverly Hills City Councilman Julian Gold were among those on hand to celebrate the association?s rapid expansion in recent years, which saw its move this week into bigger offices in the iconic Rolex Building at 9420 Wilshire Blvd. The move marked the association?s first in 42 years as membership grew from 2,000 to 5,400 just eight years ago. It plans to call the new 9,500-square-foot office home for at least the next 11 years. Said BHBA President Lawrence Jacobson, "It has been a landmark year." -Jean Yung
