The California Judges Association announced Tuesday that Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Allan D. Hardcastle had been elected as the association's 81st president. He will begin a one-year term on Oct. 14. Hardcastle began a three-year term on the association's executive board in 2010, and is currently vice president. He will succeed Judge David M. Rubin of the San Diego County Superior Court.
