Contentious opening arguments in Apple paychecks and breaks case

SAN DIEGO — A plaintiffs' lawyer told a San Diego County Superior Court jury Tuesday that about 10,000 current and former Apple employees in California are owed money for missed breaks and late paychecks over a 3 1/2-year period, beginning a weeks-long trial over a class-action lawsuit five years in the making.
