Dismissal Squanders Chance To Address Age-Bias at Work

Forum Column - By Jeffrey A. Lowe - Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court dismissed without comment a case that affected the job security of older baby boomers across the country. The case turned on whether workers over 40 have the same legal protection as minorities and women in employment discrimination cases. A decision in this case would have been critical in employment law as age discrimination in the workplace can be subtle and hard to prove.
