WASHINGTON - Citing a securities fraud ruling from last week, the U.S. Supreme Court Monday vacated a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling on the same issue.
In October 2007, the 9th Circuit ruled that Heide Betz could sue First Republic Bank, now owned by Bank of America, for securities fraud over investments overseen by one of the bank's subsidiaries.
