San Diego's Top 20 Law Firms

Homegrown Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps added 10 attorneys during the past year to snatch the title as San Diego's largest law firm from Palo Alto-based Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich, which lost 16 attorneys and fell to the No. 2 spot. Latham & Watkins of Los Angeles retained its position as the third-largest law firm in the area, while last year's No. 4 firm, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, dropped off the chart after its February dissolution.
