Tax Break Sought Courthouse Project

A state legislator is trying to get an exception made for the developer of the new Long Beach courthouse to avoid a special tax on private-public facilities.

A state legislator is trying to create an exception for the developers of a new courthouse in Long Beach that would allow the group of companies to avoid having to pay a tax of as much as $5 million per year on the project.
