SAN FRANCISCO - None of the six associate justices on the state Supreme Court expressed a strong interest in succeeding Chief Justice Ronald M. George after he announced his retirement Wednesday.
Some observers speculated Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger might look outside the court or even the judiciary to find a leader for the nation's largest court system.
