State Supreme Court to consider sex offender registration

The California Supreme Court is considering reversing course and OK'ing automatic sex offender registration for people convicted of voluntary oral sex with a minor.

He was 19 when he was convicted of having oral sex with his 17-year-old girlfriend.


Lonny Leon Rivera pled guilty to one count of oral copulation, and, as a result, was required to register for the rest of his life as a sex offender.
