Spinal implant maker wins $48M verdict

Orthotec LLC won a unanimous $48 million jury verdict against a European company this week over claims that the defendants fraudulently transferred assets to avoid paying previous judgments to the plaintiff.

Beverly Hills-based spinal implant manufacturer Orthotec LLC won a unanimous $48 million jury verdict against Surgiview S.A.S over claims that the French company took part in a fraudulent transfer assets to avoid paying previous judgments to the plaintiff.
