Lead Toyota counsel ask judge for 8 percent 'common benefit' cut

The plaintiffs' steering committee overseeing state litigation against Toyota Motor Corp. over sudden acceleration claims wants an 8 percent cut of any future settlement. A federal judge granted a similar request last year.
