Labor department investigating Raiderette's unpaid wages claim

Agency confirms it's looking into Lacy T.'s allegations that the team pays its cheerleaders $5 an hour.

One week after a cheerleader sued the Oakland Raiders team for unpaid wages, the U.S. Department of Labor confirmed it is investigating the team's employment practice with regards to the dance squad.


The private lawsuit alleged the team withholds all pay until the end of the season, and compensation averages to an hourly rate of about $5.
