Cheerleader sues Oakland Raiders for unpaid wages

The plaintiff says her wages average out to be $5 an hour in the Alameda County suit

A National Football League cheerleader on Wednesday sued the Oakland Raiders for unpaid wages and violations of California employment law. The proposed class action, filed in Alameda County Superior Court, claims cheerleaders for the team earn $1,250 per season in a wage that averages out to about $5 per hour.
