Riverbed rejects $3 billion buyout offer with counsel from Wilson Sonsini

Riverbed Technology, a San Francisco-based networking equipment maker, said Wednesday that it would not accept an unsolicited buyout proposal offered by activist hedge fund Elliot Management Corp.

After a week of tense deliberations, San Francisco-based network equipment maker Riverbed Technology Inc., with counsel from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC, rejected an unsolicited $3.08 billion takeover offer from activist hedge fund Elliot Management Corp.
