Jonathan Michaels' guest column, "General Motors: Success, Redefined" (Jan. 7), addresses no legal issues but merely presents the author's laissez faire critique of the crucial policy choices made by two presidential administrations at critical points of threatened economic meltdown in late 2008 and early 2009.
