San Diego bar installs new leadership

The San Diego County Bar Association inducted its 2014 president, Jon R. Williams, last month at the group's annual "Stepping Up to the Bar" holiday reception. Williams does mostly civil appellate work at both the state and federal levels and said in a statement that he looks forward to leading the bar association to new heights in 2014. "I look forward to working with the SDCBA as we continue to define how we will fulfill our mission now and into the future," Williams said. "San Diego has a dynamic, inclusive, supportive, and limitless legal community, and the SDCBA is the 'hub' for our profession, the literal and figurative place to make things happen. I look forward to all we will be able to accomplish this year." San Diego County Bar Association Treasurer Richard Huver was voted president-elect and will serve as president of the organization in 2015. — Henry Meier
