LOS ANGELES - As part of an expanding investigation by the Los Angeles County district attorney's office into the current political scandal in South Gate, investigators shut down the Metropolitan News Co. offices Thursday and threatened to search for the identity of a law firm that took out legal notices seeking the recall of several city officials.
