Key Players in Parks Fiasco All Make Strong Arguments

Hahn publicly announced that he would not back a second term for Los Angeles police Chief Bernard Parks, African-American leaders loudly screamed foul. They were convinced that, while Hahn has no direct say-so over whether Parks would get a second term, the five Los Angeles police commissioners, whom Hahn appointed or reappointed, would take the cue from him and oust Parks.
