Office Search In Probe of Minority Scam Is Ruled Illegal
SAN FRANCISCO - Although federal agents were armed with consent from the San Francisco city attorney, the warrantless search of the city's Human Rights Commission offices during a 1999 corruption investigation still constituted an illegal search, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday.
