Question: What has been the biggest change in mediation in the last five years? Answer: Mediation has come into its own as a profession. As a result, lawyers take mediation more seriously, prepare more thoroughly and benefit in ways that one might - and might not - expect, while still recognizing a potential dark side that results from courts ordering cases into mediation when perhaps they should not.
