Vernon settles with former official

The city of Vernon has paid former official Donal O’Callaghan $500,000 to settle a contract dispute.

The city of Vernon has paid former official Donal O'Callaghan $500,000 to settle a contract dispute. O'Callaghan was put on leave last year from his post as city administrator after he was found to have played a role in securing a city contract for his wife. Last month he pleaded guilty to felony corruption charges.
