One of former Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara's final secured convictions before his ouster last month came in a novel criminal securities case: U.S. v. St. Lawrence, in which two Ramapo, N.Y., employees were charged with securities fraud based on municipal bond issuances. One pled guilty in March, the other is set to go to trial on nearly two dozen charges this week.
