Judge Slams Guards' Immunity Request
SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge has rejected as "frivolous" the state's request for immunity for a handful of San Quentin prison guards accused of brutally beating an inmate, rupturing his eardrum and then lying about it to investigators.
