It is high time to send a "shout out" to the Republican Party for appointing Michael Steele as the first African-American to lead the Republican National Committee. We can rest assured that the GOP did not appoint Steele appoint merely because of race, much less as a counterpoint to Bill Clinton, er, that is, Barack Obama, the first black president, a Democrat.
