Environmental Group Is Off Fee Hook

SAN FRANCISCO - Pacific Lumber Co. was rebuffed in its attempts to level a potentially devastating financial blow against an old nemesis Wednesday when a federal appellate court turned down its attempt to obtain $670,000 in legal fees from a small environmental group the company defeated in court.
