Judge's Creative Sentence Reduction Invalid, Says 9th
SAN FRANCISCO - Overruling a San Francisco judge's novel and significant reduction of a prison sentence, a federal appeals court held Thursday that the prosecution's failure to disclose that U.S. Customs agents received financial incentives for arrests is not a ground for reducing a prison sentence.
