Francis “Pete” Utecht

Noted West Coast patent and trademark attorney Francis "Pete" Utecht, whose long career included winning a patent for the original monorail at Disneyland on behalf of his friend Walt Disney, died.


Utecht died March 9 at his Long Beach home from complications of heart disease. He was 88.
