LOS ANGELES - The judge overseeing more than 400 toxic-tort claims brought by Costa Rican citizens against Dole Food Co., Shell Oil Co. and other businesses has threatened to dismiss all but a handful of the suits due to lack of prosecution by plaintiffs' attorneys.
