Lesbian Lawyer's Benefits Case Dismissed

A 9th Circuit staff attorney's efforts to win health insurance for her wife fell short Wednesday when a federal judge dismissed her case.

SAN FRANCISCO - Despite the Obama administration's decision to cease defending the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit filed by a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals staff attorney seeking health insurance for her wife.
