Lawyer Gets Break in Divorce Case

A Santa Barbara attorney who was fined for allegedly running up the legal tab in her divorce got a break Monday from a state appellate court.

A Santa Barbara attorney who was fined for allegedly running up the legal tab in her divorce got a break Monday from a state appellate court.


The 2nd District Court of Appeal erased a $10,000 sanction against Maureen J. Duris, saying that the judge never gave her a chance to defend herself against the accusation.
