Online gamer Jon Jacobs attracted major media attention last November when he sold his interest in a virtual resort on an asteroid for $635,000. Years ago, Jacobs set records when he bought the resort in the online gaming world Entropia Universe for $100,000. But five years later - with physical real estate prices falling off a cliff - he unloaded his virtual property for more than $500,000 in profit.
