Isabella Horton Grant, a pioneering woman lawyer and judge who helped write California's no-fault divorce law 40 years ago, has died.
Grant, a former family law and probate lawyer who retired in 1997 as presiding judge of San Francisco Superior Court's probate department, lost a four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer Saturday at her San Francisco home. She was 86.
