Pioneering Lesbian Judge Retires

San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Mary C. Morgan, a judicial policy innovator who advanced gay rights as the first openly lesbian judge in the U.S., retired March 3, court officials announced Friday.

SAN FRANCISCO - Superior Court Judge Mary C. Morgan, a judicial policy innovator who advanced gay rights as the first openly lesbian judge in the U.S., has retired, court officials announced.
