High Court Sticks to Guns on Prop 8

The state Supreme Court has refused to speed up its timeline for deciding whether sponsors of Proposition 8, the same-sex marriage ban, have standing to appeal a federal judge's order striking down the measure.


The state Supreme Court has refused to speed up the process for reviewing the Proposition 8 standing question.


Earlier this month, the court agreed to give guidance to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on whether sponsors of the ban on same-sex marriage have standing to appeal a federal judge's order striking down the measure.
